Family Support
Challenges is committed to the inclusion of family as an integral part of every client's treatment plan. Challenges has a strong family component, family groups are offered weekly. Family members may also participate in individual therapy with the client or privately with the client's therapist.
Family members are also welcome to attend family group for as long as they find it helpful, at no additional charge. Therapists maintain regular contact with clients' significant others including spouses, siblings, extended family, friends, employers, or anyone else who may be important to enhance the client's recovery process. Families at Challenges will learn about client confidentiality, co-dependency and enabling, the importance of abstaining from drug and alcohol use, high risk situations and relapse triggers, and medication education associated with their family members.
The disease of addiction adversely affects the entire family. It benefits the client when the client and their family can begin the recovery process together. For this reason, Challenges is dedicated to facilitating that process. |
